the Cave of the Thousand Buddhas, Fobo Hill, Gui-lin 

Idly looking,
     the autumn river flowing on and on,
the flowing river empties the mind.

Playing the lute,
     bamboo swaying outside the window,
the lilting stream of the song flows into these words.
